» Share experiences and ideas
» Voice concerns
» Gather infomation
» Make contacts
At each meeting we invite a guest speaker from a Local Mental Health Organisation or Service Provider to keep our Members updated on service changes and developments.
The meetings currently on a bi monthly basis in Barrow, Carlisle, Kendal and Ulverston and are open to anyone with an interest in Mental Health.
Service users and carer involvement:
In recent years there has been government recognition of the value of involving Mental Health Service Users and their Carers in the development and monitoring of service provision. Both government and all of the statutory authorities have publicly stated their support of this movement.
We are here to help you to become actively involved in this process. As a Mental Health Service User or Carer, you are an expert with a wealth of knowledge and experience which can help to shape future service provision for the benefit of all.
“Listening to Service Users and their Carers about their experiences of using our Mental Health Services is extremely important to us. This feedback can be communicated in lots of different ways and can be utilised to influence Mental Health Service changes improvements and future developments” - Cumbria Partnership Trust
