Cumbria Mental Health Group AGM

Members are reminded that our AGM is planned to take place on: Friday 20th January 2012 2 – 4 pm at Penrith Rugby Club, Winters Park, Penrith, CA11 8RG The day will commence at 12 noon with the speaker, Mike Taylor, Chairman of the Cumbria Partnership Foundation Trust, who will speak on: “The role of the Cumbria Partnership Foundation Trust in Community Services” This will be followed by lunch at 1pm. The formal AGM will start at 2pm and will finish by 4pm.

Grant Aspinall Exhibition

An exhibition of portraits of jazz musicians by Grant Leonard Aspinall is open to the public at the ‘Gatefoot Gallery’ in Staveley on the Windermere road near Kendal, Cumbria. Access to Social Care

CMHG has just finished 6 meetings around the county, where Adult Social Care staff have set out how a new system for accessing social care services will work. Service Users were pleased to be able to express their views. They want to know a lot more about how the system will work. CMHG is bringing together notes from all the meetings. We will give these to Adult Social Care to get answers and we will share that information with the mental health community in March.
